The constant human traffic between the prison and the urban black community means that much prison culture has hemorrhage the larger black community making these two spheres, mirror each other in many ways. Nation of Islam is the force against this culture and the incarcerated Muslims developed a code that went this way: "When a brother tries to deny a brother the right to be a man, he no longer deserves to live."
